Hello! I’m Alysondra
My work with clients is inspired & guided by the belief that, for the most part, we all very much want to feel connected, valued, seen, & heard. However, in our attempts to have these needs & wants, we often lack the skills to manage issues like assertive or kind communication with others, establishing healthy relationships or coping through difficult times in a positive way.
My interest in psychology & healing originated from the exploration of my own pain & difficulty with navigating some of the more challenging aspects of life. I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology in 2013 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Prior to this, I obtained a Masters of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies—my passion for social justice continues to remain central to my clinical & educational work.
Beyond this, there are several things I absolutely adore: the ferry to Whidbey Island, my AMAZING dog, other peoples amazing dogs, any kind of dance off, coffee, & using foul language when moderately appropriate…just to name a few. I look forward to getting to know YOU!
